In today's competitive and changing world, training has become a resource that is not only essential but also one that is in constant evolution to adapt to new challenges and anticipate future changes. Training is thus a fundamental part of sector strategy and has been included systematically in strategic plans and actions. From its early days, the Federation has participated in FORCEM activities through sector-specific continuous training plans and has co-operated on European projects promoting standardisation and Europe-wide training standards. The Federation also takes part in novel initiatives aimed at encouraging senior management to familiarise themselves with company's key strategic areas. The Federation's activities are complemented by specialist training activities provided by INESCOP, offering training for newly-recruited experts and access for staff to new skills and knowledge, thus promoting personal and professional development and improving companies' competitive edge.
