Innovation is one of the basic pillars of the Federation's strategy for improving business competitiveness. Placing Spanish footwear on the international market and maintaining its position as the European Union's second manufacturing and exporting country after Italy demands increasing efforts to secure a competitive advantage. Together with other factors, including design, fashion, branding, distribution, quality, environment and service, innovation is one of the essential competitive aspects of a product such as footwear that is fully immersed in the fashion scene.

Innovation is therefore one of the strategic factors for our companies and their related industries, playing a dual role of improving competitiveness and as a way of achieving a competitive edge over our competitors.
